You might recall this little transaction from a week ago when the Browns traded Trent Richardson to the Colts for a first-round draft pick.

Obviously, that upset Indianapolis running back Ahmad Bradshaw, who outgained Richardson 95-35 in rushing yards in the Colts win against the 49ers on Sunday.

This week, though, Indianapolis really will need Richardson to carry the load now against the Jaguars. The team announced Friday that Bradshaw is out Sunday because of neck discomfort.

Coach Chuck Pagano could not identify when or how Bradshaw was hurt, but he said it was a “significant blow.”

Now that Richardson has had another week to study film and integrate himself into his new team's offense, it stands to reason that he'll get the vast majority of carries and could begin to prove why the Colts were willing to part with such an important draft pick in order to procure his services.

And it could spell the end of Bradshaw's brief tenure as the team's leading running back.
