Mike Glennon's teammates think he looks like Napoleon Dynamite

By Ryan Wilson | CBSSports.com

Can you tell NFL quarterback Mike Glennon from Idaho high school student Napoleon Dynamite? (USATSI/MTV Films)
Well, this is sure to do wonders for quarterback Josh Freeman's confidence. Not only has the 2009 first-round pick been benched by the Buccaneers, but he's been benched for the NFL equivalent of Napoleon Dynamite.

On Sunday, rookie Mike Glennon will make his first NFL start Sunday against the Cardinals, but to his teammates he looks more like the bespectacled high school doofus with the ginger afro.

“I told him, ‘You should have worn the Pedro shirt like on Napoleon Dynamite,''' cornerback Darrelle Revis said, via the Tampa Bay Tribune. “At first, he was like, ‘What?' And I was like, ‘Yeah, Napoleon Dynamite.' He was like, ‘Oh, OK.' He kind of got the joke late.''

We blame the Idaho high school system*.

Here's to hoping Glennon's pregame ritual includes this, which will undoubtedly take place while Freeman threatens to throw a football "over them mountains."

We're guessing Greg Schiano would love the idea.

* This is a joke. Napoleon Dynamite took place in Idaho.
