Report: Texans' Owen Daniels to miss 4-6 weeks with fibula injury

The news gets worse for a floundering Texans' offense: Tight end Owen Daniels is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a non-displaced fibula fracture, according to ESPN.com's Tania Ganguli.

Daniels' three touchdown receptions is tied for the team lead. He has 24 catches on the season and hauled in more than 50 passes three times in his eight-year career. Now sidelined for at least a month, the Texans will turn to Garrett Graham, who also has three touchdowns on the year.

Of course, it doesn't matter who runs the patterns if quarterback Matt Schaub continues to throw the ball to the other team. Schaub has four pick-sixes in his last four games, and he was benched late in Sunday's loss to the 49ers.

The Texans face the Rams this week and the hope is that, even without Daniels, Andre Johnson, DeAndre Hopkins, Graham and Arian Foster can make Schaub's life substantially easier than is has been over the first month of the season.
