When Giants running back left Sunday's loss to Philadelphia with a neck injury it was a major concern. His departure was later called "precautionary," opening the door for Wilson to play Thursday against the Bears.

That door is now slammed shut as Tom Coughlin officially ruled out Wilson for Thursday's game against the Bears.

With Wilson missing, the onus to produce a running game will fall on veteran Brandon Jacobs and rookie Michael Cox.

The extent of Wilson's injury is unknown right now, however, we should learn more on Monday when Wilson is scheduled to see a specialist in Los Angeles, according to the New York Daily News. Wilson could end up missing a few weeks.

In short, the Giants remain a mess and Wilson, with his injuries and lack of production, remains a massive disappointment.

No wonder Chicago is an eight-point favorite on the short week.
