Sounds like the Nike Air Jordan brand is about to get some NFL representation.
That's because Nike announced that Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks will wear the Air Jordan XII shoes in the Thursday night game against the Bears, while Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant and Seahawks safety Earl Thomas have officially joined the brand as well.
“We are excited to add Dez and Earl to the Jordan family,” Michael Jordan said in a statement. “Dez and Earl are amazing athletes and both bring a passion and flair to the field that exemplifies the Jordan Brand.”
More from Nike: “Nicks' cleat will feature a silver base with the option of a university red or rush blue overlay. All of the Jordan football athletes cleats will be featured in team colors and feature two midsole options.”
Cool-looking shoe and all, but I'll be really impressed if the shoes help Nicks and his Giants teammates stop this 0-5 freefall in which they currently reside and get New York its first win of the season.
