Calvin Johnson active for Lions against Browns Sunday

By Will Brinson | NFL Writer

A week after surprising everyone as a last-minute scratch, Lions wideout Calvin Johnson will be back on the field for the Lions this week against the Browns.

Johnson participated in pregame workouts, running routes on the field to test out his knee.

Following those routes, Johnson had a conversation with Matthew Stafford, offensive coordinator Scott Linehan and quarterbacks coach Todd Downing.

The wide receiver then participated in stretching with trainers in the Lions end zone.

It's unlikely Megatron will be 100 percent -- or anything close -- but half of a Megatron is substantially better than no Megatron.

Johnson's absence was obvious in Week 5 as the Lions struggled mightily against the Packers. Stafford couldn't get anything going and Reggie Bush couldn't find any space.

With Joe Haden likely shadowing Johnson all day Sunday the wideout won't find the going easy. But having him on the field makes all the difference for Detroit.
