Steve Smith will 'punch' Janoris Jenkins 'in his [bleeping] mouth'

You won't like Panthers wideout Steve Smith when he's angry. Well, you might. But Janoris Jenkins won't, and didn't on Sunday. The second-year Rams cornerback managed to rile up 89 by -- according to Smith -- talking smack about the wideout's family and wife during the game.

As you can imagine, Smith wasn't happy and said after the game if he saw Jenkins in the street he would "punch him in his [bleeping] mouth."

"When you try to take it personal like that, I don't have any great humbling things to say," Smith said. "So he can take his ass back to St. Louis and watch the [bleeping] film because I don't play them games. And if I see him in the streets I'm going to punch him in his [bleeping] mouth."

So where did this come from? No one really knows. Smith says he's never had a run-in with Jenkins before and thinks the rookie simply used Google to find out about his family and make it personal.

"What I don't like is a young guy, comes in, obviously his first time ever using the internet and Google, and he Googles information about me, talks about my wife and stuff like that," Smith said. "That's kind of some of the (B.S). I just don't play with."

So naturally Smith caught the 800th pass of his career on a touchdown while Jenkins was covering him and "directly pointed" at Jenkins following the score and just before a lengthy touchdown dance. Asked if he was worried about a taunting penalty, Smith said he didn't "give a damn" and then called Jenkins "just another notch on the bedpost."

"He's just another notch on the bedpost," Smith said. "That's 800. He ain't no different."

Jenkins apparently disagrees, tweeting that Smith was a "LuckyOne" with his one touchdown grab and adding "checkmate."

Unfortunately for Jenkins, it was Smith who provided the finishing blow, dropping a dog-peeing-on-the-carpet analogy for Jenkins getting scored on.

"When you embarrass people you rub it in their face," Smith said. "When your dog pisses on the carpet, you rub it in his face."
