Rams QB Sam Bradford suffers torn ACL

By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer

It was feared Sunday night that Sam Bradford had suffered a torn ACL after being run out of bounds by Panthers safety Mike Mitchell in St. Louis' loss on Sunday.

Now, the bad news has been confirmed.

That leaves Kellen Clemens -- the only quarterback on the active roster -- as the temporary starter , though it's assumed the Rams will begin looking at the free agent market to find another quarterback (it won't, however, be Tim Tebow, because coach Jeff Fisher won't consider it).

The St. Louis Dispatch reports that Bradford will undergo surgery next month.
