Eagles QB Nick Foles suffered concussion against Cowboys

"It didn't look like he was injured until the last play," Kelly said of Foles, via Philly.com. "I think he was off a little bit. His feet weren't set on a couple of his throws. There were times our guys were open and he couldn't get them the ball.

"I saw Nick after the game, he seems like he's doing well. There's a protocol and a system you go through before he's cleared. He says he feels good so we'll see how it goes as the week progresses. He was just off."

Foles, the team's 2012 third-round pick, replaced Michael Vick, who suffered a hamstring injury in the Week 5 victory against the Giants. And when Foles went down, rookie fourth-rounder Matt Barkley came. Barkley struggled in his first action of the season, completing 11 of 20 passes for 129 yards and throwing three interceptions.

So could Vick return for next Sunday's rematch against the Giants?

"It's all based on what his health is," Kelly said. "We've listened to Mike the whole time and we'll continue to listen to Mike. Just cause one guy got hurt that doesn't make another guy get healthy quicker.”

The sooner Vick comes back, the better. Because, as CBS NFL Insider Jason La Canfora points out, he gives the Eagles the best chance in the league's worst division.
