Jermichael Finley is out of the ICU and has feeling in his arms and legs. Obviously, that's great news, even though Finley remains in the hospital.

But for those who were wondering whether Finley, now that he's suffered two major injuries this season, would want to continue to play, wonder no more. He apparently does. Packers tight end Andrew Quarless said Finley even asked a doctor the night of the injury when he could return to the field.

"One of his biggest things was, 'I'm going to get back,'" Quarless said, via ESPN.com. "That's in any of us. Anytime any guys go down, I mean this is what we love to do, so that's the first thing [Finley asked], 'When am I going to get back? What's the time table,' and stuff like that. So that's a little bit of what they talked about."

For now, that's unknown. Coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that Finley still has many opinions to hear from specialists before he can continue on but that he's making progress.

Browns safety Tashaun Gipson, who made the hit that caused the neck injury, said he sent a text message to Finley.

"All I can do is keep him in my prayers," Gipson said. "I know he's got kids. I have kids, and I know I wouldn't want my kids having to see their dad going through something like that."

Finley's young son already has expressed that opinion, telling his father when he suffered a concussion earlier this year that he wanted Finley to quit playing football. But it sounds like Finley will keep going.

"You know Jermichael, he's a competitor; he definitely wants to play," Green Bay tight end Brandon Bostick said. "I definitely think he'll be back as soon as he can."
