Dolphins deny violence in locker room charges by Martin attorney

By Eye on Football staff | CBSSports.com

The Miami Dolphins denied allegations made by Jonathan Martin's attorney that there have been issues with violence in the locker room, the Miami Herald reported.

David Cornwell, Martin's attorney, charged on Thursday that Martin was the victim on physical violence administered by his teammates in the locker room.

CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reports that, via a source, the incident occured away from the facility in 2012, Martin's rookie year.

"Since I've been here, I haven't seen anything like that," offensive tackle Tyson Clabo, who joined the team this season, said Saturday.

Coach Joe Philbin remained silent on the matter Saturday, saying he was allowing the NFL's investigation into the matter take its course.

Guard Danny Watkins said he has never violence on the team, adding that the public does not understand the full story because football outsiders don't understand the workings of a locker room.
