Erik Walden butts heads with a helmetless Delanie Walker

By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer

Already, the officials for the Titans-Colts game on Thursday night missed a rather obvious too-many-men-on-the-field penalty (if you consider 14 (!) men too many).

In the second quarter, the officials might have missed something a little more egregious than that.

Via Deadspin:

This play featured Colts linebacker Erik Walden and Titans tight end Delanie Walker, and as the latter attempted to block the former down the field, Walden yanked off Walker's helmet. When Walker went to protest the injustice of that particular move, Walden appeared to head-butt Walker in the chin.

Which seems unfair since Walden is wearing a hard plastic covering on his skull and Walker was not.

Oh well, no ejection was forthcoming, and Walden continues to play.
