LeSean McCoy returns after suffering hamstring injury

By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer

Eagles running back LeSean McCoy injured his hamstring vs. the Redskins in the first half Sunday, and though he was questionable to return, he started the third quarter for Philadelphia.

After taking the handoff from Nick Foles at the Washington 23-yard line in the second quarter, McCoy broke a tackle and made a couple of Redskins defenders miss before falling to the turf untouched at about the 8-yard line.

He immediately took off his helmet, and he appeared to say, "My hammy," as he clutched his right leg.

He limped off the field under his own power, but McCoy immediately was taken to the trainer's table on the Philadelphia sideline. A few minutes later, he was taken to the locker room.

But by the beginning of the third quarter, McCoy had returned.
