After suffering a concussion in the second half of last week's win vs. the Chiefs, it was unclear whether Broncos receiver Wes Welker would be ready to play this week when Denver travels to Welker's old stomping grounds in New England.

There wasn't a question in Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's mind, as he said Wednesday, "I've been around [Welker] long enough to know what he's all about. He loves playing football, and if there's a chance for him to play, especially coming back here, he's definitely going to be out there. I've got no question about that."

Hmm, maybe Brady is right, because according to multiple reports out of Denver, Welker was seen practicing Thursday, most likely in a limited fashion.

Before Welker can actually play Sunday, though, he'll still have to be cleared by an independent doctor.
