In case you don't recognize No. 12 because he's been out of action since Week 9 with a broken collarbone, that is quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Who, as it was noted, practiced to some degree Tuesday.
But don't get too excited. Packers coach Mike McCarthy said afterward that while Rodgers participated in individual drills, don't count on seeing him on the field Thursday vs. the Loins.
"It does not look like Aaron is going to make it," McCarthy told reporters, via ESPN Milwaukee.
That is basically the same line McCarthy used Monday when he said there was only a slim chance Rodgers would play.
"He would like to go," McCarthy said. "Based on the information ... I would say he's slim to none. It would be a huge stretch for him to play in this game."
Still, Rodgers with a football in his hand and a helmet on his head is probably a pretty good early Thanksgiving present for those who enjoy the Packers.
Oh, and to add further intrigue, at least one gambling site, via the Green Bay Press Gazette, has taken the Lions-Packers game off the board.
