Retiring Jaguars center Brad Meester makes first catch of career

By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer

Earlier this week, longtime Jaguars center Brad Meester announced that he would retire after this season. On Sunday, he got an early going-away present as he played in front of his home crowd for the last time.

After reporting to the referee as eligible to play as receiver, Jacksonville quarterback Chad Henne hit Meester for a nine-yard pass. Reportedly, the stadium went crazy with excitement.

Since Meester is a center, that naturally was the first reception of his 14-year career, which spans 208 games. And the big man has some pretty good moves as well.
