If Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey was renting a place in Dallas, he can probably go ahead and buy now. Bailey signed a six-year contract extension with the the Cowboys on Thursday, the team announced. Bailey was set to become a restricted free agent.

The deal will make Bailey the fifth-highest paid kicker in the NFL, paying him just over $3.3 million per season. According to NFL.com, Bailey is getting $4 million to sign and $7.5 million in overall guaranteed money.

The 25-year-old was the fourth most accurate kicker in the NFL in 2013, connecting on 28-of-30 attempts for the Cowboys, including a game-winning 35-yard field goal in Week 12 to beat the Giants.

Over the past two seasons, Bailey has only missed one kick inside of 50, going 48-of-49 on field goals between 19- and 49-yards. Bailey is also one of only six kickers in NFL history who's had over 100 extra point attempts and made 100 percent of them. It's safe to say that Bailey would probably be against any proposal to eliminate the extra point.

Bailey originally signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State in 2011.
