Every year there are ads that don't make the cut for the Super Bowl and 2014 is no different. This year's rejected candidate? Scarlett Johansson.
Well, technically Sodastream, but the ad that got them booted from the broadcast by Fox features the attractive actress.
Scarlett isn't why Sodastream was denied Super Bowl access though. It's the line she throws at the end -- a challenge to Coca-Cola and Pepsi -- that got the ad shut down. At least according to Sodastream's CEO Daniel Birnbaum, who told USA Today that Fox rejected the ad "because they're afraid of Coke and Pepsi."
Unsurprisingly Fox, Coca-Cola and Pepsi declined to comment.
