A suspicious white powder was mailed to at least five hotels in New Jersey and the FBI is now investigating. According to the Fox-affiliate in New York, the hotels are located in Carlstadt and East Rutherford, N.J.

NBCNewYork.com reported that a hotel in Manhattan also received a suspicious envelope on Friday. Although the powder was sent to multiple hotels, the Broncos and Seahawks hotels did not receive any suspicious envelopes. However, there were at least two envelopes that didn't reach their destination. According to NBC New York, two were found at nearby post offices.

Super Bowl XLVIII will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Sunday.

"There are no reported injuries at this time, and the locations are being secured," the New Jersey State Police said in a statement. "This situation is being thoroughly investigated and more information will be provided when it becomes available."

East Rutherford mayor James Cassella told News12.com in New Jersey that the powder in his city has been indentified as corn starch.
