A day after Johnny Manziel's agent said he wasn't going to throw at next week's NFL combine, the potential No. 1 overall pick announced that he's taking a different approach to his workout.

So, yeah, Bortles is going to throw.

In case you're not in the know, Bortles is the UCF quarterback who has been predicted by three of our four mock drafters to be selected by the Texans with the No. 1 overall pick ('s Rob Rang has Jadeveon Clowney going No. 1 and thinks Bortles will have to wait until the No. 4 pick before he's taken by the Browns).

Quarterback passing drills are scheduled for this Sunday in Indianapolis, and Bortles will hope to improve on some of his anticipated weaknesses.

As we write in Bortles' pre-combine analysis, "[Bortles] can make every throw, but lacks elite arm strength. Ball placement has room for improvement and his touch is undeveloped. Throwing mechanics have room for refinement. Doesn't always step into his throws and will sometimes deliver with his momentum falling away from his target."

At least Bortles will give himself the chance to improve some of those criticisms.
