On their way to the NFL combine to examine the players the team might want to draft, two Jets trainers played an important role while trying to save an airplane passenger.
As first noted by the National Football Post and further reported by the Newark Star Ledger, assistant trainer Josh Koch and Dave Zuffelato, just after boarding their flight to Indianapolis for the combine, helped a female in distress.
A passenger alerted officials that an elderly woman was in severe distress, and, along with a passenger that happened to be a doctor, they brought her to the jetway and performed CPR on her until paramedics could arrive.
No word on what happened to the woman, but the three men then reboarded the flight and flew to Indianapolis.
"We're conditioned to help people,” Zuffelato said. “When the situation arose, the doctor, Josh and I did our best to help.”
