It has not been a good few months for wideout Davone Bess. He had a suspicious drug-related photo pop up on social media that the Browns investigated, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a firefighter at the Fort Lauderdale airport, and he had a report of him being arrested and hopitalized over a year ago pop up.

Now he's been cut by the Browns.

Cleveland announced Bess' release, along with wideout Brian Tyms and linebacker Paul Hazel, Wednesday.

The Browns traded for Bess from the Dolphins during the 2013 NFL Draft (and Miami reportedly didn't tell Cleveland about any of Bess' issues prior to said trade) and signed him to an extension.

Bess didn't even make it into the second year of that three-year deal, though, and is now a free agent.

The bigger concern is his personal health. Clearly the wideout is dealing with some issues (he has a well-documented history of growing up in a troubled environment) and hopefully he can get whatever help he needs to turn things around.

Bess caught 42 passes for 362 yards and two touchdowns with the Browns last year.
