The Steelers might be able to make it to free agency without losing everyone on their roster after all. LaMarr Woodley still looms as the biggest cap hit (possibly coming tomorrow) but cornerback Ike Taylor will stay. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reports Taylor took a pay cut to stick with Steelers.

Taylor essentially confirms as much, as he tweeted on Monday evening that the "ink is about to dry" and that he's a "lifer."

The logical conclusion from that tweet is Taylor was offered a chance to take a pay cut, did so, signed a new deal with the Steelers and now will wrap up his career in Pittsburgh.

Taylor was drafted in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Steelers and he's played all 11 years of his career there.

Since he'll turn 34 in May, you can bet that Taylor won't be around long. Covering NFL wide receivers is hard enough without getting older each year.

But however long he ends up staying in the league it'll be as a Pittsburgh Steeler.
