With the Saints releasing a number of players recently in order to get under the 2014 salary cap, including receiver Lance Moore and running back Darren Sproles, it was assumed by many that running back Pierre Thomas also would be a cap causality.

Thomas rushed for a team-high 549 yards and two touchdowns last season, but it looks like he might fall behind Mark Ingram on the depth chart next season.
