For the past four years, defensive end Julius Peppers has terrorized NFC North quarterbacks, recording a total of 38 sacks and making three Pro Bowls during his time in Chicago. The only team that hasn't had to worry about him, of course, was the Bears.

Moving into 2014, that will change for Chicago, because according to ESPN's Josina Anderson, Peppers has agreed to terms on a three-year deal with the Packers.

This probably makes the rest of the NFC North sad, considering Peppers has had plenty of success in the past four years against the Lions (five total sacks) and Vikings (5.5 sacks). He also compiled 6.5 sacks against the Packers, though obviously Green Bay won't have to worry about that anymore.

Peppers, though, is 34 years old, and he's coming off a 7.5-sack season, his lowest output since 2007.

It's also an interesting move by the Packers, because the organization typically shies away from making splashy signings in free agency, preferring instead to draft and develop the core of its team. The last time the Packers brought in such a high-profile free agent was Charles Woodson in 2006 when Woodson was 29. Considering Woodson recorded 38 interceptions in his seven seasons in Green Bay, you could say that signing worked out well.

Whether Peppers is nearly that successful remains to be seen, but considering he's five years older than Woodson was, that kind of production seems unlikely.

Either way, Peppers seems to enjoy hanging out at Lambeau Field. This, from Peppers' agent, Carl Carey.
