If a guy can dress up like Robert Griffin III for the Marine Corps Marathon and juggle footballs while he runs 26 miles, then it stands to reason that a Seahawks fan can compete in a Swiss ski marathon in a full-on Marshawn Lynch get-up.
That's 48-year-old Tony Wiederkehr, an aerospace engineer who now lives in Arlington, Washington.
“I wanted to do something to honor the Seahawks,” he told King5.com. And that entailed finding a uniform (and pads) and traveling more than 5,000 miles to Switzerland to compete in something called the Engadin Ski Marathon.
Wiederkehr, who took up cross-country skiing a decade ago, finished 4,873 out of more than 13,000 skiers.
