Looks like former Texans safety Danieal Manning won't be out of work for long.

Cut by Houston earlier this week after he declined to take a paycut -- though it was officially designated that he was released after failing a physical -- Manning reportedly has agreed to a one-year deal with the Bengals, according to NFL.com.

The good news for Manning is that he's reuniting with Vance Joseph -- who was his secondary coach in Houston and who now is the defensive backs coach in Cincinnati.

Manning only played six games last year because of a fractured fibula, and though he's done a decent-enough job for the Texans the last few seasons, he's also ranked as a middle-of-the-road type safety according to the Pro Football Focus rankings going back to 2011, the year he arrived in Houston.

Assuming Manning -- who ranked as the No. 60 free agent on the CBSSports.com list -- continues to play strong safety, he'll likely compete with Taylor Mays and George Iloka for playing time.
