Brandon Moore was an undrafted free agent last year who spent time with the Broncos and Chargers on their practice squads. Last month, the defensive end was signed by the Redskins, but now it looks like his road to Washington's 53-man roster has gotten rockier.
That's because the NFL announced Tuesday that Moore has been suspended for the first four games of the 2014 season for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
He'll still be eligible to participate in offseason workouts and preseason games, but the first day he'd be eligible to practice in the regular season would be Sept. 29.
If he's even on the Redskins squad at that point.
#Redskins DE Brandon Moore can probably forget about making team after getting suspended by the NFL for the first four games. Some new era.— David Elfin (@davidelfin) April 8, 2014
