On March 26, two Boston firefighters lost their lives battling a nine-alarm blaze. On Monday, according to TMZ, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was at the Paradise Rock Club raising money for the families of those firefighters.

In addition to reportedly having beers with some of the firefighters on hand, Gronkowski got on the microphone to pay tribute to the men who "put their lives on the line all the time," adding in truly Gronkian fashion, "They're our true heroes ... God bless America ... Let's get Gronkin'."

The event raised $20,000, all of which will go to the families.

Late last month, Gronkowski's teammate and Boston resident Tom Brady took to Facebook to express his condolences.

"On behalf of my entire family, I want to extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to the Boston Fire Department and the families of our brave and selfless firefighters who gave their lives for our protection and safety today, and to the entire firefighting community who protect us each and every day," Brady wrote. "All of you will be in our thoughts and prayers."

And last Friday at Fenway Park, the Red Sox honored both the fallen firefighters as well as the victims of last year's Boston Marathon bombing during a pregame ceremony.
