No matter what, it seems as if quarterback Terrelle Pryor won't be on the Raiders roster for the start of the 2014 season.

With Oakland acquiring former Texans quarterback Matt Schaub earlier this offseason, the team has been trying to trade Pryor, but if the Raiders can't find a partner, they reportedly will cut him Monday, according to Fox Sports' Alex Marvez.

This apparently was set in motion by Pryor, who requested a trade when he realized that he would, at best, be the No. 2 quarterback behind Schaub. There was also a chance he could be No. 3 behind Schaub and Matt McGloin, and considering Pryor feels like he should be a starter -- or, at least, really, really wants to be a starter -- he must feel there's not much point in staying in Oakland.

Though Pryor had a little success last year, you can see why the Raiders feel he's not their quarterback of the future. He went 3-6 as the starter last year, completing 57.4 percent of his passes for seven touchdowns, 11 interceptions and a quarterback rating of 69.1.

According to the Football Outsider metrics, Pryor ranked 44th of 45 quarterbacks in 2013 (ahead of only Brandon Weeden), and he didn't fare much better by the Pro Football Focus measurements, ranking 39th out of 42 quarterbacks.

It also seems likely that the Raiders will draft a quarterback next month (two of the five CBSSports.com mock drafters think that'll happen in the first round either with UCF's Blake Bortles or Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel), so there probably wouldn't be room for Pryor even if he wanted to try to stick around in Oakland.

All of which is OK, though. Even without Pryor hanging around, at least one person believes Schaub is the man that can take Oakland to the Super Bowl.
