Less than a week after the retired Rolando McClain decided to make a comeback attempt and a few days after the Ravens reinstated him from the reserve/retired list, it sounds like McClain has had another change of heart.

McClain originally retired in May of 2013, so he could, in his words, put his personal life together. He also said that he "was feeling like Aaron Hernandez or something. Like I just wanted to kill somebody."

Plus, he had been arrested multiple times, and it sounded like he just needed to step away from football.

Though McClain said he wanted to return to the game, he reportedly showed up late to his first workout with Baltimore last week. Then, he couldn't finish his conditioning test and didn't do any of the drills he had planned.

And now, he's retiring again.

"If football made me complete, I would play," McClain told ESPN's Wickersham in a text message. "But whenever I think of it, my heart pulls me away [for] whatever reason"

McClain was the No. 8 overall pick of the Raiders in the 2010 draft. He was released by Oakland in 2013 and signed with the Ravens before abruptly ending his career. Since then, he's returned to taking classes at Alabama.
