You already know that the Saints reportedly have exercised their fifth-year option with defensive end Cameron Jordan, and as CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora wrote Monday, a number of those options from the 2011 draft class will be picked up without much argument.
A league source has confirmed to CBSSports.com's Will Brinson that the Bengals and Cardinals have gotten into the act as well, as No. 4 overall pick A.J. Green and No. 5 pick Patrick Peterson will return to their respective teams for the 2015 season. NFL.com's Albert Breer was the first to report the news.
In doing so, the Bengals will have to pay Green about $10.2 million for that year, while Arizona will shell out about $10 million for Peterson's services.
Neither of those moves are shocking, considering Green is one of the best receivers in the game and Peterson has played impressively so far as a cornerback.
Seeing a lot of fifth-year options being exercised for members of 2011 draft class. #Titans still have no plans to do so on QB Jake Locker— Jim Wyatt (@jwyattsports) April 21, 2014
