Bernie Kosar says concussions led to him losing preseason radio job

On Wednesday, former Browns standout quarterback Bernie Kosar was told that he no longer would be working as a color analyst for Cleveland's preseason games. On Thursday, he fired back at that decision, saying that he believes he was let go because of his slurred speech impairment, which "is a direct result of the many concussions I received while playing in the NFL."

He also said that calling those games was "truly one of the remaining joys in my life" while hoping that WKCY reconsiders its decision to replace him, reportedly with Solomon Wilcots.

Here's Kosar's full statement, as tweeted by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

At least one Plain Dealer writer doesn't like the decision, but Kosar, mind you, has been in trouble before with the Browns front office for blasting the opposing team's offensive shortcomings.

Keep in mind that the former administration, run by Joe Banner, no longer is in charge.

This also isn't the first time Kosar has blamed his old football injuries for a modern-day mess. After he was pulled over on suspicion of DUI last October, he told police officers that he had a tough time performing sobriety drills because of old knee and ankle injuries that occurred because his offensive line couldn't block.
