Two recognizable referees who have been making judgment calls for quite a while won't be around for the 2014 season.

As Dean Blandino, the league official in charge of officiating, tells the Associated Press, Ron Winter and Scott Green are retiring, and they'll be replaced by field judge Craig Wrolstad and side judge Ronald Torbert.

Winter has been a referee since 1998, while Green became a full-time referee at the beginning of the 2005 season. Green had worked Super Bowls XXXVI and XXXVIII as a back judge.

Both Wrolstad and Torbert have college refereeing experience.

Shawn Hochuli, son of Ed "Guns" Hochuli, and Brad Freeman will be joining the NFL's officiating roster as well, according to Blandino.
