You might have heard something recently about the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association allegedly making some racist remarks and how the NBA plans to handle this ever-expanding PR disaster.

Well, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell certainly has heard about the story, and according to NFL.com, he plans to raise the topic of Donald Sterling at next month's owners' meetings.

"The Sterling issue will come up as a reminder regarding the culture and responsibility, as well as the respect one should have for teams, players, fans and media," NFL.com writes. "The team executives and coaches -- the senior leadership -- have an even greater responsibility than the players, with the bar set higher."

The NFL, after all, is no stranger to owner and/or potential racist slurs problems recently.

Last month, the NFL had to deal with Colts owner Jim Irsay's arrest on DWI and four felony charges, and at the latest league competition committee meeting, the NFL weighed whether to levy a 15-yard penalty for players who used the N-word on the field.

Plus, you know, there's the whole Redskins name issue. Which, even in the wake of the Sterling controversy, still resonates online.
