Future NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel -- a very good bet to be chosen in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft on Thursday night -- is constantly the center of controversy.
People either love him or hate him, but no one actually KNOWS if he'll be any good once he gets to the next level. He's one of the most fascinating prospects because of that.
For those that doubt him, Johnathan Football -- and Nike, with whom he signed -- would like a word.
Specifically, they'd like to remind you that there are "no sure things" in the NFL Draft.
Now, you could point out Manziel is kind of acknowledging that he might end up not being great. But it's pretty obvious he's taken motivation from those doubting him and is using it as a chip on his shoulder.
The idea that a "prototype" exists for quarterbacks is clearly something he and Nike don't agree with.
