NFL Draft: Raiders get a B+ for selecting Khalil Mack from Buffalo

Where Khalil Mack went to school -- Buffalo -- wasn't relevant when it came to his placement in the 2014 NFL Draft, as the outside linebacker was taken by the Raiders with the No. 5 overall pick.

CBSSports.com senior writer Pete Prisco approves:

Mack, the second pass rusher on most draft boards to only Jadeveon Clowney -- who went No. 1 overall -- shrugged off any real concern over playing a small school by putting up some really impressive tape during his final season in college. The Ohio State game, in particular, stands out.

Defenses are more multiple than ever in today's NFL and Mack's combination of strength (23 bench reps) and speed (4.59 40) makes him an ideal addition to just about any defense.

Mack can play with his hand on the ground or standing up; he's a Von Miller-type player who can impact a defense and terrorize quarterbacks out of the gate.
