CBSSports.com senior writer Pete Prisco approves:
Khalil Mack: A no-brainer for the Raiders. He is an elite pass rusher and they need one in the worst way. GRADE: B+ http://t.co/KPxAyHqyNs— Pete Prisco (@PriscoCBS) May 9, 2014
Mack, the second pass rusher on most draft boards to only Jadeveon Clowney -- who went No. 1 overall -- shrugged off any real concern over playing a small school by putting up some really impressive tape during his final season in college. The Ohio State game, in particular, stands out.
Defenses are more multiple than ever in today's NFL and Mack's combination of strength (23 bench reps) and speed (4.59 40) makes him an ideal addition to just about any defense.
Mack can play with his hand on the ground or standing up; he's a Von Miller-type player who can impact a defense and terrorize quarterbacks out of the gate.
As for what he'll be paid, Joel Corry breaks it down:
Correction: Khalil Mack's signing bonus should be $11,903,272. His '14 compensation should be $12,323,272.— Joel Corry (@corryjoel) May 9, 2014
