The football team should be improved. At the very least it's going to sell a ton of tickets -- Browns president Alec Scheiner told ESPN's Darren Rovell the team sold 1,500 season tickets in the 12 hours after Manziel was drafted.
"We know right now that every one of our games is going to be sold out for next season," Scheiner said. "The beauty of picking Johnny was that this was a football decision only. It had nothing to do with business in any way. The fact that he's an incredibly popular athlete wasn't factored in at all."
Manziel himself said Friday he appreciates the excitement but doesn't think ticket sales mean a whole lot and there's "work to be done" in order to get ready to actually succeed on the field.
"It means a lot to me. Getting a lot of support already. But there's work that needs to be done," Manziel said. "There are things that need to be done in order to really create that demand. I'm very excited to be here, very excited to be part of this organization."
After he was taken the fans erupted in joy.

While it remains to be seen whether Manziel will be a success on the field, there's little question the Browns already hit a home run from a marketing standpoint.
