2014 NFL Draft: Titans take draft's first RB, get C+ for their efforts

NEW YORK -- In the 2013 NFL draft, the Bengals selected running back Gio Bernard with the No. 37 overall pick, the longest wait ever for the first running back to come off the draft board.

Turns out the 2014 draft board blew away that record.

With the No. 54 overall pick, the Titans picked former Washington running back Bishop Sankey in what we assume will be the team's attempt to replace Chris Johnson as the franchise runner. And yes, Sankey was the first running back to be selected this year.

In 2013, Sankey broke the school's single-season rushing record, held by Corey Dillon, with 1,870 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Still, the pick didn't necessarily impress CBSSports.com's Pete Prisco.
