If you're a masochistic Broncos fan who was hoping to get your hands on a t-shirt proclaiming Denver as 'Super Bowl XLVIII champions,' hopefully you have friends in Africa, because that's where they're headed.
"That's really brand new, high-quality, never worn clothing that could be used somewhere to serve somebody who otherwise wouldn't have access to those things," World Vision's Senior Director of Corporate Engagement Jim Fischerkeller told MyNorthWest.com earlier this year.
The league used to destroy all of the merchandise produced for the Super Bowl loser, but thanks to the agreement with World Vision, the Broncos loss will live on forever in other countries because the unused clothing is sent overseas to people who need it. The only stipulation the league has with World Vision is that the merchandise isn't distributed in the United States.
The picture at the top of the page comes from someone who apparently isn't a big Broncos fan. The photo was tweeted out with the message, "shipping 'Broncos super bowl champs' shirts to africa today at @worldvision in denver. hahahaha."
