When the Lions selected tight end Eric Ebron with the No. 10 overall pick, CBSSports.com's Pete Prisco panned the selection, writing that "this kid has a ton of talent, but is he really a need? The [Lions] had other more pressing needs."

Despite Prisco's input, Ebron is surely a welcome sight for quarterback Matthew Stafford, and on Friday, the Lions and Ebron agreed to his four-year rookie contract that should be worth a fully-guaranteed $12.25 million with a $7.23 million signing bonus.

Confirmation is below.

I'm sure Ebron is happy with his deal, and I imagine, another person is pleased as well. That would be his fiance, who got engaged a few hours before the Lions called Ebron's name.
