Former NFL receiver (and former colleague!) Chad Johnson signed with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes two months ago, and a few weeks back, he finally received his work permit.

And though Johnson was held out by Montreal for Saturday's preseason game with an ankle injury, that doesn't mean the team can't show him off in its uniform (all photos via the team's official website).

So, there you go.

And even though he didn't play Saturday, all of us can rest assured that whenever Johnson does take the field, he'll do so wearing a uniform that looks pretty good (strangely enough, Johnson, a huge soccer fan, sort of looks like he's sporting the same jersey that the U.S. men's national squad wore in its Monday win vs. Ghana).

And his confidence remains.
