A day after the attorneys for former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez asked the Bristol Superior Court judge to throw out evidence in the Odin Lloyd murder case, those same attorneys have asked the judge to issue a subpoena to the New England Patriots for psychological, medical and other records from Hernandez's time on the team, reports the Boston Globe.

Hernandez has been in jail since last summer and is accused of murdering three men, including Lloyd.

The attorneys said they believe the Patriots have "extensive records (on Hernandez) ... including, but not limited to, medical records and psychological test results.”

“The records ... are potentially evidentiary and relevant in this case in that they may bear upon his circumstances and state-of-mind prior to the alleged offense, as well as his physical and mental state at the time,” the attorneys said.

In addition to first-degree murder charges in the shooting death of Lloyd, Hernandez was indicted last month for the 2012 double-murder drive-by of two Boston men. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to those charges. His next hearing is set for June 24.
