First things first: you have to click on this link and watch the video of Marshawn Lynch's golf swing. It's borderline Barkley-esque but with more baseball action, a one-handed follow through and less concerns about how it looks. Simply glorious.

Anyway, to the "news" portion of the video -- taken at the "Big Golf Game" event for Lynch's Fam 1st Family Foundation charity: Lynch, who apparently wants a new contract from the Seahawks, was asked by NFL Network whether he was excited about coming to training camp. As the always awesome Dan Hellie said while setting up the segment, "don't blink."

"We'll talk about that when that time comes, boss,” Lynch said.

Lynch is notoriously mum when it comes to talking with the media; you got the vibe from the video he wasn't going to answer (or even pretend to answer) a question about whether or not he was coming to training camp. Excited was his high end response level.

The running back did show up for the Seahawks mandatory minicamp, however, so there's reason to think he won't hold out of training camp, especially if he's going to get fined for his absence.

Lynch was (is?) reportedly contemplating retirement, which seems completely crazy given how successful he's been in the last few years. But he's saved his money, he's taken a beating mileage-wise, he's won a Super Bowl ... and maybe Lynch is a little crazy/eccentric anyway?

The guess is the Seahawks, even as they work to incorporate more of Christine Michael into the game plan, will be willing to work with Lynch. He's too valuable to the type of offense they want to run, even if the shelf life for running backs isn't long these days.

At the very least we know Lynch isn't walking away from football for a golf career.
