Smith was given a citation for failing to follow an officer's orders, the Associated Press reports, and released from a Towson, Maryland police precinct.
According to the AP, police arrived at a Towson restaurant after receiving calls about a woman who reportedly passed out in one of the restaurant's bathrooms.
The woman was vomiting into the bathroom sink when the cops showed up.
Smith was with the woman, according to police and "refused to obey and officer's repeated orders to leave the bathroom."
It's been an ugly offseason for John Harbaugh's team: Ray Rice was arrested for felony assault in a highly-publicized incident involving his wife in Atlantic City, rookie running back Lorenzo Taliaferro was arrested over Memorial Day weekend, Jah Reid was cited for felony aggravated assault and wideout Deonte Thompson was charged with possession of marijuana.
Smith's charge certainly feels less serious than the other charges, but the pattern is disturbing none the less.
A first-round pick in 2011 out of Colorado, Smith intercepted two passes in 2013 and piled up 16 passes defensed in what could be considered a breakout season.
