With Aaron Hernandez in jail and awaiting trials on three murder charges, Massachusetts detectives have interviewed Patriots owner Robert Kraft, coach Bill Belichick and other team employees in the course of their investigation. In fact, it was reported that the team recently turned over 33 pages of text messages between Belichick and Hernandez from February 2013 to May 2013 (Odin Lloyd was killed in June 2013).

Turns out that 33-page estimate was a little high.

The Patriots released a statement Friday night in which they clarified how many text messages Belichick and his former standout tight end had shared. Not 33 pages of text messages, but 34 total text messages, the Patriots said.

Last August, Rolling Stone reported that Hernandez had come to Belichick in the past and said that he believed that his life was in danger, but that storyline later was refuted by the team. Previously, Kraft said the team had been duped by Hernandez.
