In 2011, cornerback Aaron Ross had the best season of his career, recording four interceptions for the Giants and helping New York win the Super Bowl.

But after spending a season in Jacksonville, he returned to the Giants last year, where he played only four games before landing on the IR list with a back injury. And this year, his season is over before it started.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Thursday that Ross tore his Achilles tendon while participating in the conditioning test. Ross, thus, will miss the season.

Ross -- who was competing for playing time as a nickel cornerback -- turns 32 in September, and considering he didn't draw much interest in free agency this past offseason, you have to wonder if his career is just about over.
