Obviously, that isn't a great sign for the team if it actually wants to keep the man who's accumulated 27.5 sacks in his first four seasons and has been a terror for opponents' offensive line for much (but not all) of his career.

Franchise tag on Suh would cost the Lions almost $27 million next season. TWENTY-SEVEN million.— Chris Burke (@ChrisBurke_SI) July 28, 2014
Despite the reports from the offseason that the Lions were considering trading Suh, Lewand again emphasized that the team hasn't talked about making that move.
