Jets rookie cornerback Dexter McDougle suffered a torn ACL in his left knee at practice Sunday, the team announced. The injury occurred during 1-on-1 drills when he went to the ground with wide receiver Stephen Hill.

McDougle, who is expected to be lost for the season, will have his ACL surgery this week, according to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora.

Later in that same practice, 2013 first-round pick Dee Milliner went down with an injury during 7-on-7 drills while covering rookie wideout Quincy Enunwa. According to La Canfora, the cornerback suffered a high left ankle sprain and could be out until the start of the regular season.

“When those things happen, it's unfortunate," coach Rex Ryan said after practice. "You got to move on. ... You're concerned with everybody's injuries, but that's part of the business. ... I've been talking about our depth and now we'll get to see it. ... We'll be able to play defense. We have a lot of good football players. We'll be fine."
