Broncos LB Danny Trevathan injures leg at practice, carted off field

The Broncos spent the offseason trying to improve their defense, adding cornerback Aqib Talib, defensive end DeMarcus Ware and safety T.J. Ward in an attempt to keep their status as Super Bowl contenders.

But on Tuesday at practice, Denver might have suffered a bad loss on defense when linebacker Danny Trevathan, coming off an impressive 2013 season, injured his left leg and had to be carted off the field.

In 2013, Trevathan's second season in the league, he started all 16 regular-season games for the Broncos, accumulating 129 total tackles, three interceptions, 10 pass defenses, two sacks and three forced fumbles.
